Faith et. al.



What struck me about this frame was the complex interplay of the sinewy tree and the stacked stone wall which it divides. The wisps of dry grass peeking between the stones talk about no interference to their being. But the two round stones aloof at the foot of the tree talk about the lingering shadow of faith...

Father-in-Law


Weathered. He sits quietly in his ‘space’. He worked in the ‘town’ and stayed in Kalyan. The train was his life line for well neigh 30 years. His co-passangers his friends. For the myrid denizens of the far flung suberbs, the ‘train friends’ are a serious phenomenon. Same train, same compartment, same window section. Day in day out. Over years, people make friendships. People sing bhajans. People play cards. Many of these friendships continue outside the train and outside the work hours.

I tried to capture the mood. The evening time when he sits, contemplating. He is back from chores in the market and the time before dinner is served, is one of reflections, perhaps.

Father



All senior people love the corner seat by the window. I think as we grow older we observe more. Life still remains mysterious, perhaps ?
