For the myrid denizens of the far flung suberbs, the ‘train friends’ are a serious phenomenon. Same train, same compartment, same window section. Day in day out. Over years, people make friendships. People sing bhajans. People play cards. Many of these friendships continue outside the train and outside the work hours.
