Suspended Animation

This is a short film I did some time back. It tries to capture a time when time almost stood still. A state of mind, really.

Waterfall at Gokak

3rd October 2009

This is a magnificent waterfall at Gokak in north Karnataka. The British built a mill on the banks of this fall. There are a couple of ancient Shiv mandirs here too. This year the waterfall is fed by the late rains.

Ullhas falls

These are the Ullhas Falls. The start of the Ullhas river which flows from here (Khandala) into the Thane creek. The falls are a fantastic view on the Mumbai-Pune highway in the ghats. Because of the scanty rainfall this year (2009) the falls are 1/4 their usual size at this time of the year.

Louisa Point, Matheran
